Studying in Paris for the next 4 months — good gifts for host family? (mother/father/18 yr old daughter)?
Published by admin on February 27, 2009I am really at a loss as to what would be a present that a family in Paris could really appreciate and I only have a couple of days to figure it out. Any ideas?
If you're from the state, something represents your area or a college shirt for the young girl would be nice. You can also get stuff that represents Us landmark such as Empire state building, Washington monument, something from Disney (can't be more American than Disney) etc.. for the family. You can get them on line.
In France, each region has its own specialty. In Provence, they are famous for their lavender, textiles, spices, cicada, perfume etc… You want to bring something that's unique but do not bring wine. French people are picky when it comes to wine. They make one of the best wines in the world so they don't need American wine.

I need to get Christmas gifts for three women in my office and need ideals…?
Published by admin on February 27, 2009It is just a office thing and I just need simple things. I do not know much about the women but they always give out something like homemade cookies, bottles of wine and stuff like that. I do not want to give gift cards because that seems so impersonal.
Chocolates are always good with women and I know just the place to get them!!

21st birthday gift for my brother-in-law?
Published by admin on February 27, 2009Hey everyone - my brother-in-law turns 21 tomorrow! Hooray for him. We've become very close over the last few years (in fact, we've chosen him to be the Godfather of our baby due in July). I want to get him a cool birthday gift for his 21st. Any unique ideas out there? For the record, he's more of a beer drinker than a hard liquor/cocktail/wine drinker.
Get him a couple of cases of beer.

What are some great Father's Day gifts?
Published by admin on February 25, 2009My grandfather (who adopted me at birth and I call him "father") is turning 75 years old shortly after Father's Day, and he is very active physically. He singlehandedly grows a 2 acre vegetable and herb garden, grows peach trees, loves to BBQ, hunt, fish, and he's very intellectual. He loves military history, and discuss you tired with current events. He also loves a good drink and very kind and loving to cats and dogs.
